Brazilian startup Carnaval.vc joined forces with school of samba Grande Rio to create the most connected carnaval experience of 2014’s Rio de Janeiro festivities. Using the #VaiGrandeRio hashtag, people collaborated with two interactive floats that displayed crowdsourced videos and pictures.
To promote participation, more than 80 celebrities from TV and the internet posted videos on their personal social media channels making the call to action. The final numbers include +146 millions of impressions of the hashtag #VaiGrandeRio from twitter, facebook and Instagram together, reaching +21 millions of users.
