Vogame is a game inspired on the dance battle genre known as Voguing.

The interactive installation was created as part of the course Introduction to Computational Media at NYU’s Interactive Telecommunication Program.

Originally born on NYs balls scene of the 80’s, the voguing movement has influenced music over three decades and has grown to different sub genres in the current dance battles parties. Vogame is an experimental project that brings the style to an human-machine interaction.

Player has to match its silhouette with one from the dancer

Using the kinect to save the position of the dancer's junctions

Before using the kinect, flex sensors attached to a bodysuit was used to track the arm's movements.
